Ryan Rochlitz,
Heart Recipient

In 1997, I learned that I would need a heart transplant to survive, and I was placed on the transplant waiting list.  On October 5, 1997, I received my new heart

After the transplant, I went to college on a rodeo scholarship. I graduated from west Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and Economics. I am a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and regularly compete in team steer roping competitions.

I am fortunate because my donor’s family chose to Donate Life. Register your decision to become an organ and tissue donor, today. Your choice can help save a life – a life like mine.

You have the power to change someone's world by being a donor. It's about living. It's about Life. Read our Stories of Hope.
